As a Junior at Tampa Catholic High School, my English teacher noticed something about my tests. My multiple choice answers weren’t always right but my essays were glorious. Even if they weren’t right either. He encouraged me to explore writing. That moment sent me down the path of journalism and shaped my future.

I worked as a reporter at four newspapers before realizing that public relations and marketing were the real future. I’m happy I escaped that high-pressure deadline world of minimal pay but I sorely miss the newsroom at the Tampa Tribune. It was a buzzing atmosphere with a thousand things going on all at once.

Today, I run Apogee, a performance marketing agency. We are a highly efficient team dedicated to providing profitable and growing affiliate programs to small and mid-sized merchants.
